Music Video Defenition

A music video is a piece of video to accompany an already existing track of music with the purpose of increasing sales of a piece of music in other formats (instead of just a simple mp3 audio file, people could purchase a song with both video and audio in the form of an mp4 file).

Evaluation of AS Blog

The overall feel of our blogging was that it was what brought our marking down, we failed to produce many marketing products to couple with our actual film opening product. This brought our marks down both in the evaluation and planning phases. Another thing that we definitely need to improve on is to broaden our range of media uses for our blog. We only used writing on the blog and occasionally coupled with pictures, but no real change in forms of media. We could have used forms such as video or perhaps just sound (podcast). Our film opening products itself we thought was very good, although we had plans to make it even better, we failed to add the finishing ideas on to it because we ran out of time. However, we still feel that we did a very good job with our product and we are mostly pleased with the result. Britney Spears – Toxic Lyrics The lyrics in the song are full of sexual interpretations and some can even be alluring to the use of drugs e.g., “I’m addicted to you”. This shows quite a large transition from teenager schoolgirl Britney to a more adult and sexual Britney. The fan base of Britney would largely be teenagers perhaps also looking to find an identity in their adult selves. The song’s lyrics have a theme of romance but set in a more sexual way, this can illustrate the stereotype of teenagers being quite interested in this kind of romance. Music Toxic is one of many high tempo dance pop songs of which is a typical genre that Britney uses for most of her songs.
