Seeking Permission

Dear Kid Cudi,

Myself and my partner Will are from The Fitzwimarc School studying media studies. The reason we need to make a music video is purely for educational purposes. We have been set the task to create a music video for our A level course. Due to your song ‘Day n Night’ meaning so much to us since its release in 2009 we have decided to contact you in order to ask permission to use your song in order for us to make a music video. We are planning to take the music video in a different direction to what you have due to the fact that we do not have access to special effects to put onto the video. we hope that you take this in consideration for us.

Yours sincerely

Will and Alfie

This is the email we have sent to the artist to gain permission to use his song.

An example of an artist that does not appear in their music videos would be Avicci as he does not show his face in his...
