Uses and Gratifications Theory - We intend for our music video to entertain out audience. This is usually the case for every single music video and we feel we should apply it to ours as well. We also feel our music video will provide an opportunity for the audience to escape the boredom.
Roland Bathes denotations and connotations - We have used the lighting and editing to try and make some connotations. Such as using the darkness to try and make the main character seem isolated, lonely and separated from all of the lights around him.
Levi Strauss - in the video it can be argued that we have used the work of Levi. this is due to the fact that we have used the 'light vs dark'. By this I mean that we use the night and the artificial light contrast in order to add to the effectiveness of the lights.
