The song we have chosen to use for our music video is the song Day N Nite by Kid Cudi. This is a song that is personal to Will and I as we enjoyed its release in 2009 up until today and also enjoy watching the very interesting and unique music video. This is a quote from Kid Cudi explaining to his audiecne why he wrote the song Day n Nite. 'My uncle that I lived with passed in 2006. We were actually beefing because he forced me out the house when I didn’t have another situation set up, so I was bitter. I never apologized for it, and that kills me. That’s why I wrote ‘Day ’N’ Nite.’'

The track serves as Cudi’s justification for this “beef” with his deceased uncle, and the way he deals with the pain of their unresolved issues. The drugs help him “run,” but it’s the madness of the industry and making it that caused the problems in the first place.

The lyrics of the song will either make you relate or feel sorry for the character he is singing about in the song, Kid Cudi explains very well the feelings and actions of the character and this is due to the fact that he is singing about himself. He also states in his explanation of the song that it kills him that he never apologized to his uncle for being bitter towards him this could mean that it hangs over him to this day and repeats in his head, this could be the reason for the emphasis on the repeated words after several lines. These meaning the constant reminder of what he has said and done. 

This is a very beloved song by many people around the fan base of Kid Cudi and is widely recognized by a large population of fans of the music industry therefore meaning its an instant classic for my generation.  This song is his most popular out of all of them with 110,008,608 plays on Spotify.
